hi fellow`s,
anyone have a word on this particular pistol from Tisa?

its around $650-$700. what caught my eye was the "hand-lapped" label.
seems hard to believe that i purchased a Les Baer Premier ii for $1850 a couple of yrs back that was hand lapped
& Tisa can offer one for that cheap. what do the hand lap...the grips! sure cant be the bbl. to slide fit. ( Meant slide -to- frame)

any words?

Tisa is likely not paying American gunsmith labor rates to have it done. There's a couple of guys sitting in wet limestone slurry and holding parts with their feet.

^^^^^this. Turkish labor pricing. They probably make like $10 a day or something like that.

FWIW, I just hand-fit a slide to a Colt 1911 and hand lapped everything. I would have liked to tighten the lateral play in the slide a tiny bit but the owner didn't think it would be significant.

This project took over 4 hours in a properly equipped shop, but damn, that came out nice.
