Cheap Trick

My wife and I hiked to an old mine in the hills near Bisbee AZ this afternoon. I found an old green tarnished empty cartridge laying by itself on a hillside, it is 1 & 7/8" long, straight with no perceived taper or bottleneck.
It has a rim and seems to be 45 caliber. Any guess as to what cartridge this is? Thanks.

My guess without looking it up is the .45-60.

I would say a 45/60 Should mike at about 1.81" to 1.89" long ???

I think MK42 is likely correct. That's 1.875" - about right. Is it copper (green verdigris)? Alot of those old finds will give up a headstamp with a bit of water and a toothbrush.
I always find those to be far too cool not to keep. What was the story from the shot? Meat? Targets? Defense of life or limb?
