We had an action packed after in the timber of south Alabama. 3 doe, 5 bucks all spikes, 12 turkeys, 1 coon and one coyote! She dropped him in his tracks with the 308 pushing the Lee 170 grain RNFP on top of Reloader 7. Little feller got smacked by a girl with pink nails !!!

And I'll voice the same! Congrats! Sooo nice to see a youngster -- regardless of gender -- with a hunting firearm in their hands rather than a cell 'phone!

Culling bucks like that one improves the herd.
And more tender meat than an old buck.
Well done, young lady!

We don’t subscribe the the antler growing community. What improves a herd is numbers. Caring capacity of the land. It’s been proven you can’t change or alter genetics of a wild deer herd. All you can do is balance the numbers so every deer has proper nutrition. The only deer that get consideration around here it doe’s with small fawns on them that will surly die if the doe is shot

Background looks a lot like our area here. Very nice outing with youngsters, so that they get to have success in the hunt. We can shoot critters just about anytime, the youngsters need reinforcement more than we do. Good Dad, nice shooting for the young lady.

Oh to be 55 years younger and daddy didn't know how to use a gun then we could marry when of age. The young ladies of my time would not even think about hunting. Young lady you done very good, don't ever give up hunting with your dad.

Uriah and Frisco City....been a long time since I've spent any time in that area. I was born and raised in Marengo County in the 50s/60s. I have heard lately (distant cousin is a wildlife biologist down there) that your deer and hog populations are getting out of hand. It is great to see that young lady doing her part in keeping things in check. Go cast some more Lees and tell her to keep up the good work!

Actually the deer population is suffering because of the BOOMING hog population. We are seeing deer in the river swamps emaciated in January and February the last couple years because the hogs vacuum up all the mass crop
