Got my Swede back from the gunsmith after he put on a Busk Diopter rear sight. I don’t want to say the Busk is rare(overused by people trying to sell stuff on Gunbroker) but, it is pretty uncommon. The ‘smith did a great job.

Another shot of it. Now to put the rifle back together and see how it shoots some cast.

Looks cool…. Are you going to be able to get your eye close enough to use the peep?

Oh yeah. It is on the rear receiver. Basically the same location as a M1 Garand’s, M1903A3’s, M1917’s, and a No.4 Mk.I’s peep sights.

Ok. I'll say it. I am hugely jealous! :)

Thank you. I was wanting a good diopter sight that the Swedes used for modified iron in CBA military shoots. The most common are the Solodirn and the Elits. I started looking around and heard of the Busk(Norwegian actually but, used by the Swedes) and the Hookas. Very uncommon sights from my readings. So I had to get them. Found both in Sweden. Bought them and had them shipped over.

I have holes in my ‘96 swede recvr but have no idea what goes there.

Put a pic up. I know some of the Swede lovers we have here will be able to figure it out.

Here you go, dated 1903. I have since bought a nonmatching bolt and had the handle turned down. Bought it on my birthday in Raleigh last year. The seller gave me a couple boxes of ammo and robbed a correct sling off another rifle. A very accurate rifle.

I have a CG63 with a Solodirn sight and it works well. The rifle has a globe front sight.

Very nice peep sight. Should help you keep shooting a bit longer.

I have a '96 with the Elit rear and a globe front of some sort. I had to make the insert for the front as it was missing when I got it. I did well with this shooting "antique military" matches when I was living in SC. Since I moved back to Maine it's been sitting in the back of the safe. The local matches around here are "1/4 mile rifle" which amounts to a 440 yard match off a bench rest. At this stage in life I need big glass to do that well.
