Just in case someone can use the info, I found that a 30-30 can be neck sized in a 7.62 X 39 FL sizing die. I removed the expander and it sized the neck to .308 inside dia., just right with a .310 boolit. I guess that it can vary with different brands but it worked for me.

Sometimes I don't even size. I just decap and load them with as cast, dip lubed boolits.

Yes they do work and I have several but not one for the 30-30. I already have the 7.62X39 die, some of us like to make use of whay we have and save the $25.

My post wasn't meant as a dig. Sometimes, I really don't size. I don't blame you for using what you have. I often make what I need or figure out how to use what I have.

i use pistol dies and some taper crimp dies for neck sizers sometimes.

How 'bout it five. I have often thought of using a 32 caliber carbide pistol die. Have you tried it?

When loading 30-30s I deprime and neck size using the Lee hammer die, I seat and crimp in a regular die in my RCBS A-2. Using a collet die may lie in the future but I like doing it this way and it works well for me. Neil

Yup! Works for me in lots of 30 cals. 38/357 works too for my 35 Rem. As I recall, some gun writer wrote an article re: using 32 sizer in some gun rag a while back. Like he'd invented the wheel or something. Regards, Woody
