I just ordered one of the new 1895 Winchester's in 405.

Is their anyone making factory (I mean one of the casters) cast bullets sized properly for this gun? Or does anyone have one of these rifles and willing to sell me some bullets they use?

Also, load help is nice, I found a couple threads here but they seemed to stray a little.

I found a lot of reference to H-4895, which I don't have, but I do have IMR 4895 around. I KNOW THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone can point me to some load data for the IMR 4895.

I'm not a big cast bullet person as I lived too long near an indoor range that only allow FMJ. Now that I still live near that range, but I live closer to a range that lets me shoot "freely" now, and go there instead. So I need to get back to lead, as that's all I used to use for 45 ACP and 38 Special (though I didn't cast them).

Thanks

Jason

Wow, Thanks for the link to the Bullshop, I may have to order a mix of different ones in lots of 100. I used to buy some really nice local cast bullets when I lived in SC, but haven't found anything here in FL.

Plus, I need more custom stuff now.

Mt. Baldy Bullets http://www.mtbaldybullets.com/ has a 310 grain .405 bullet sized .414. For lighter loads I use a Leadheads https://www.proshootpro.com/index.html 270 grain .411 gas check over 45 grain of IMR-4895. The bullet is a tad undersized but still is more accurate than factory in my .405 Encore barrel.
