For a plink load that burns clean try 5.O to 5.5Gr of Tightgroup. I use 5.5Gr with a 240Gr BOOLIT.

But even though I have loaded a bunch of them in my 1894 Marlin in .44 Mag my loads are on the low side with the Lee 310Gr but will still do the Job. With 18.5Gr of W-296 or H-110 take your pick lol. Some like 296 while others like 110. Do not ask me why lol. And depending on how cold it gets where you are and how cold you are willing to shoot the rifle or pistol you can use standard Large Pistol Primers I use the CCI as that is what I have on hand. Now if you are going to go out when it is 25F and lower you should work up a load with the Mag Primer.

And for the Marlin it would not hurt to look into the Ranch Dog 265Gr GC or his 300Gr GC of which are designed for the Marlin. :)

Do a search as there are a few threads on the Lee 310GR GC that will help as well. :)

At velocities that low, Unique and Titegroup are the only powders on your list that should be used. I haven't used Titegroup in my .44's, but about 7 grains of Unique should do the job.

You need a jug of Promo or Red Dot. (Promo is cheaper and doesn't have the cute red dots, but the load data is the same (but don't mix them)) Try about 7 or 8 grains with a 240 grain cast bullet.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't notice that you said 310 grain boolit.
