I have been powder coating boolits (shake and bake) for a few years now, with limited success.
I ignored a lot of people here and bought some cheaper (not even HF) powder. Heck, I got TWO pounds for less than a pound from Smoke 4320. These powders worked ok sort of. If I shook the boolits in the plastic tub for about 15 minutes, baked them and repeated the process, I got enough coverage that most of the lead was covered and I had no leading in the barrel of several different guns I tried them in. A few weeks ago after several dismal attempts with what I had, I decided to buy a pound of powder from Smoke. I had picked out a red color, but in my order I mentioned any color was fine if he thought one worked better than the others. He ended up sending signal blue. In 10 seconds of shaking the tub I get better coverage than I ever did before. With a couple minutes of shaking I get nice even coverage that results in smooth, shiny good looking boolits.
If you are powder coating and having trouble getting satisfactory results try Smoke's powder

You got me to finally order. A couple years back, I got a couple lbs from a popular site. After two coats on everything since, they look good. My original HF red worked fine, but is old.
