What is the best glue for gluing in the white diamond inlay on a Remington 1100 pistol grip? On hand I have Acra glass gel, JB Weld, and your typical hardware store 2 part 5 minute epoxy.

Or do I need something different? Anyone with actual experience?

I try to stay away from most 5 minute epoxies.
They seem to Set quick.
But if you notice, they stay rubbery and sticky on the surface.
The other epoxies you mentioned like the Accraglass and even JB weld do better.
But they are not clear.
So you just have to be carefully with areas that might show or you get smears on the stock.
Alcohol will clean off the wet epoxy without damaging finishes on the stock like acetone will.

I love JB Weld but think that Acraglas would be the better choice.

jmho - one drop of crazy glue gel always works for me - makes stronger bond without the thickness of the epoxies -

I would go with one of the cycalates. Like a super glue, But I would first coat the wood of the pistol grip with it and let it soak in and cure This will seal the end grain a light sanding then clean and glue on with the same glue. Sealing the grain like this keeps it from soaking the glue away from the bond when you glue it up

I agree with you C G.
Also.
Super glue being thinner than epoxy.
You have to be sure the two pieces are making almost full surface contact if using super glue.
But if the two surfaces don't have full contact like if the wood has a rougher surface.
The epoxy beds things better , and makes the two parts match up perfect.

nothing sticks well to plastics (the grip diamond). i agree with the super glue. but, you should scuff up and gouge the bottom side of the cap to give it some additional adhesion
