View Full Version : Pre 64 vs Post 64 Winchester 94 question

I recently came across an unmarked Williams side mount. It appears to be for a Winchester 94.
The screw holes line up with my pre 64( tapped for peep sight by me) but the lever pin screw on my gun is smaller diameter than the one for the mount.
So- are the lever pin screws different between Pre and Post 64 model 94s?
No one I know has a post 64 to look at….
Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the screw that allows take-down the of pin that holds the bolt in the receiver....the pre-64 screw is smaller than the post -64 screw.

Thank you, Hickok!
That was my suspicion but I had no way to tell.

FWIW I got a Ted Williams 100 with the side mount screws similar to my post-64 94

Yep, and the screws for the cartridges guides go in differently, and the bottom plate thingy (forgot what its called) attaches to the receiver differently, (and a few other things). I have one of each, but they both shoot the same.
