I have a marlin 1895 chambered in .33 winchester that I would like to shoot. I don't believe there is any bullet company currently making a .338 flat nose bullet for this rifle so I am looking at casting for it. Does anyone have any experience with casting and loading for this cartridge? I picked up a set of dies at a gun show and I have 40 pieces of brass and am on the lookout for more. I would appreciate any help with finding brass, where to find a mold, what weight bullets and powders/charges work for you, etc. Not new to casting or reloading but new to this cartridge.

Hawk bullet company can support jacketed. https://hawkbullets.com/bullet-selection.html#

Older 6th edition Hornady manual had data.
They did show H4895 and IMR 3031 used which reduce well.
They also used IMR 4064, H4198 & W748.

I know brass can be formed from 45-70 or 40-65, what is the process for doing that? I really hate having cartridges with the wrong headstamp but .33 wcf brass is almost impossible to find.

Never did that, but you can browse around here: https://hawkbullets.com/bullet-selection.html#/

One selection seems to be a forming set. (Out of stock.)
And while (again) out of stock, seems they do offer brass.

Building a single shot falling block in 33 Winchester is on my "to do" list. I'll be getting a barrel blank and a set of dies soon. I've already got the chambering reamer and a Lyman #33884 mold. Been wanting to build this rifle for awhile. I'm interested in the responses you get for load data.

Accurate Molds is where I would start looking for a mold. He might even have a few designs in his catalog already.

Could hollowpointmold.com turn a Lee 220 grain mold into flat points? Maybe flat HP's? :)

+1 on Accurate--look at his 34-201L and 34-220A designs. One or the other should be your huckleberry.

The Lyman 338320 was the bullet made for that round. It also works great in the 338 Win mag and 340 Weatherby mag. Mine drop about 210g.
