I walked my wife out the door so she could go to work just a few hours ago, and as the sun was teasing its rising, the air was ever so slightly chilly at 75 degrees...ya know what that means? It's almost casting weather down here in Arizona!

Yeah, it's starting to turn here in south central Texas, too. Not cool yet (we joke about donning a sweater at 90F), but, at times, it's less than brutal outside. Might be able to cross the yard without toweling off.

The trees here are starting their fall colors, 48 degrees this morning. Cottonwoods are usually the early ones, aspens follow. Weather guy says a cool front for the weekend with rain, sage is close to blooming, best smell on earth is sage in bloom after the rain.

It was only 97 here today so the weather is getting better. Still pretty sweaty out there.

Last weekend I was bass fishing in one of my nearby lakes and the bass were in full fall pattern. That was three weeks early even though the water was still 76 degrees. The fish will put a smile on your face when they are like that. Anyway fall is coming fast here and I will bet it will spread fast throughout the nation.

Tomorrow it is going to start cooling off a bit and hopefully it is the end of the triple digit weather!
Looking forward to getting into the shops and getting some projects done that have been waiting since summer came in full blast!
And some range time too!

It has been in the 80's here in PA. People are starting to check in to the hospital with heat stroke.

I just can't stand you all gloating about your cool weather. The only thing I am looking for at this time of year but its still 30 -40 days away for us.

I was casting in July, in South Carolina, in a shed… at 10PM. I’d be dead if I did that with the sun up. I broke in a new RCBS 45-230-CM last night.

Over here on the western border a couple days last week were down into the high 70s at sunrise. Last few days it's been the low 80s. Supposed to be back down in the high 70s the next few days. Highs have been in the high 90s and 100+......

It hit 45 degrees this morning with a high of 67 yesterday here in Michigan inside the house it dropped to 67 degrees and my boiler kicked on for the first time since spring .

I have a large pot (old 20 pound propane bottle) of lead I need to put on turkey fryer to get cleaned up and poured into ingots.
for bullets that need casting I need to do some more 490 grain .54 ring tailed bullets for Sharps Model 1859 Replica , 45 acp , and I need to look at what else .
When ever I have the pot heated I always do #4 buckshot and .319 r.b. I use as "O" buck or in .32 muzzle loader.
