Regarding the list of banned-by-make/model, where is the definitive list, written in plain English? The sites I've seen contain so much legalese, it looks like everything's banned.
Second question; is it possible to make a banned rifle 'NJ Compliant' even though it's on The List?

federally + Nj licensed gunsmiths can legally modify even those on the list to be made NJ compliant - not familiar with the south area - but many in central + north Jersy have it listed in their services - most any smiths can modify magazine capacities also -

It has been awhile but I seem to remember a few gunsmiths near your area. Google is your friend at this point or contact a range near you. I used to belong to a range down by the AC expressway that had a gunsmith but never used them. I do know others did the pinning bull but it has been to long now. Good luck.

Bob White, owner of Shooters Corner in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. He may be able to help.

Thanks again. I wanted to make sure I didn't end up in some sort of 'grey' zone, I'll see if mister White isn't too busy right now.

j. depazza in rahway is closer - 732-382-4066 - - fyi if you are already in possession of a non compliant item check with smith about transportation or shipping - if item is not shipping from seller or out of state ffl to nj dealer is legal -
