I have run into a problem with surplus ammo for my .308 winchester. The brass is marked BF 79-62 the problem is decapping the brass, There is no center hole for removing the primer, this brass has 2 holes and not in the center. Does anyone have any idea how I might remove the fired primers so I can reload this brass.

RCBS does make a tool for removing Berdan primers, but as noted earlier, the primers are hard to find in the US and they are more expensive than Boxer primers.

I have used a decapper and a soft mallet. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=274540 I lined up the pin in one of the holes and tapped it out.

That was when you could still find the primers though. I have thought about reusing the primer cups to make new Berdan primers using a Forster Tap-O-Cap. I don't know if it would work, but in an emergency it might be viable. I'm not suggesting you do this. It is just an idea I had when I thought about running out of primers.
