I worked with a guy from Kentucky gave out cigars for his first grandkid he was 34 years old at the time his wife was 36 his daughter 17 years old and unmarried . I am afraid I upset him when I said "I do not think I would tell anyone"! He was laid off within the year I do not know if he ever got his job back that was 1980 the beginning of a recession .

Same here. 31 and 29. I am not in any hurry and just want them to be happy. Grandkids would be the icing in the cake. Congrats on being a Great Grandfather. My gf had her oldest out yesterday with family, including her grandson who is 16. She is five years younger than me. She let's me share her grandkids ranging in age from four to sixteen.

Congratulations to all who know the joy of Grandchildren. My Great Grandson will be 12 in Feb/24. My Granddaughter, Great grandson and I spent 2 weeks at my cabin in August. This is the second year I have had the joy of teaching him about guns, shooting and reloading. Other years it has been berry picking, fishing and other outdoor stuff.

I'll never see it start my family too late, Girls are Daddy's Babies and they both would make wonderful Mothers but that going to be their choice is get married and start a family. I'm in mid 50's and climbing so maybe Grand dad but great grand dad that will be reaching.

I'm not there yet, but I figure that isn't too many years down the road for me. Grandkids is another story. I remarried when my youngest was a senior in high school. I have 4 kids, the wife has three (her youngest was also a senior in high school). Between us we have 21 grandchildren. The youngest is 2 months old and the oldest is 22. My wife likes to remind me that I am responsible for 16 of those grandchildren. Christmas can get expensive!

Sincerest congratulations! (One son doesn't stay in a relationship long enough to plan on kids; perhaps good, sort of...; younger son married late: oldest grandkid is but 8.) Best case for me to earn title you just did, I'd need be older than 85! Doubt if I'll make it.

Our grandson likes shooting, when he can get some time off to do it. He's a smart hard working man putting in 60+ hrs a week delivering drugs to hospitals, nursing homes, etc. in a big van over several states. I hope he gets his class A license driving tractor trailer for the company, I think he'll have more time off, but now being a father, I doubt it'll be for shooting much.
