View Full Version : Antique RB molds??

These RB molds left to me .. The two molds I guess are very early . First I have seen like this. The large RB mold has a .45 stamped on it's bottom. The ball that came out of it measures .450. Perhaps for a cap & ball revolver?? The other smaller mold , as best as I can measure, seems to be .350. They are not fitted with a spreu cutter/plate. Looks like you cast the ball, then snip the spreu off. They both appear to be in great working condition. Any info would be appreciated.

.450" would be a touch small for most C&B revolvers, most of them want at least .451 if not ,454".

The .350" RB should work in a .36 cal muzzle loading rifle.

But who knows what they were originally meant for?
