I just picked up a Ruger American in .450 Bushmaster, and trying to decide on a mold. I'd like to stay in the 250-300gr range, but not really sure about a bullet profile. I prefer SWC designs with wide meplats, but not sure how well they will feed out of the box magazine. Any suggestions?

I have used a bunch and very much like the Lyman Hould HP 330g bullet.

I also use the RCBS 300 swc as well as a NOE 280 made for the 450 BM.

The LYman 298g is a nice one as well.

These two:
ACC 453-340C(GC) (https://accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=45-340C)
ACC 45-280D(GC) (https://accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=45-280D)

Both feed fine in both my American bolt, and AR stoner.

The Classic 330 Gould HP (sized down) and the solid point Accurate Clone
ACC 46-340 (https://accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=46-340L)L are excellent

I have a Lyman 454485 that looks perfect for the bushmaster. It is basically a 454190 with a gas check. I have cast up a few hundred but only tried a few loads so far in 45 colt.

The 45-300 Lee mold might work well.
MP made the 45-320 Ruger only, might be another good option.
