Many years ago, while I still had a bow, and was deer-hunting with it. I was given some special spray paint, that I believe was alcohol based, and the earth colors came out very nice and flat. When I sold that bow, I just wiped it down with alcohol, and it all came off, nice and neat, without wrecking original finish.
I have the need to do my old Mossberg , for this fall, and I would like to figure out, just what that paint was, as I don’t want to put permanent paints or tape on it.
If I recall, I think it wasn’t a paint that was marketed as a gun/ bow paint, it was some sort of arts n crafts stuff, in those small spray cans.
I can’t find anything like it, on google…. Anyone out there use something similar?
If I need to, I’m considering trying the Rustoleum Peel Coat, in matte graphite, then doing camo on top of that, with whatever paint I want….. it all should peel off together, no?
