I plan on buying a star sizer next month. I bought the group buy lee mold 6 banger in 45 acp. It throws bullets at .454 dia. and has just 1 lube grove.I would like to size nose first and size to .452. The barrel on my 1911 has a grove dia. of .451. So someone please tell me what I need in order to size and lube this bullet. Thanks-seabat0603

452 sizer die. Do you cast for any other caliber's? What lube do you use,is it a hard lube? Hard lubes require heat to flow, you will need a heat sorce. Bill

I was thinking of using carnuba red. I have heard some good things about it. I planed on buying the heater as well. I cast .38 spcl, 357 mag, 44 spcl, 44mag, .45 colt, and 45-70. Might get into 9mm as well. ( for my neighbor )

If you use the BAC instead you will not need a heater. It's plenty good for any of the handguns that you have in mind. It's 50% of the red and 50/50 mixed. Would be a better choice. The 452 sizing die with your Star will work fine. There is a ton of info written on this forum about the star. Do a search and it might save you some questions. The Star does require a few set up steps to be done in a proper manner, be patient.
