I have inherited several molds (3), 2 of which I know are for the 50-70 because Lee's catalogue says so. I have no need for these molds, as I don't shoot BPCR. so was going to list them on Swapping & Selling. My problem is identifying the third mold as to what gun it was for, so as to give an accurate listing. The mold is RCBS 89023 44-370 FN (2 cavity). I "think' it for the 43 Spanish cartridge but am not sure. Can anyone verify or correct my ID?
Thanks

It will drop a bullet at about 0.448". That is very big for a 43 Spanish, but very nice for 11mm Mauser or maybe 44-77 Sharps. Lots of people believe 43 Spanish and 11mm M are the same. There are not. The 43 Spanish is more like 0.439" or hey Lyman 439186.

Thanks for the info. What little I was able to look up told me that the 43 Spanish took a .439 bullet at 370 grains, so I made the assumption, incorrectly, that .439 was rounded to .44. I will just list the molds by the info. on the boxes.
Thanks again.

It's an 11mm mould. You can imagine what it's used in.
