Looks like some kind of construction tool, but have no idea.

Chainsaw bar tip greaser. When inserted in the hole at the tip of the bar, and pushed a quarter of an inch, it squirts out a small amount of grease.

Yep, it is an 'oldie' but still does the job. I prefer the 'metal' ones with the pump.

I knew I would find the answer here.
Grease must be all hard, as the tip doesn't move.
I'll see if I can clean it up, and get it working again.

I use one of the new plastic versions for my chainsaw. You have to push pretty hard with it.

I'll see if I can clean it up, and get it working again.

Give it a couple of squirts with WD-40 to loosen up the varnish, then pump come clean grease in, and put it back in service!
