is there any way to remove them or polish the chamber on my own
sent them a message and got a service ticket on July 12 and have not heard from them sense
sent a message last night and nothing [smilie=b:
would like to fix it my self and be done with it

You could take a piece of crocus cloth on a mop and gently rotate it in the chamber, be very gentle.

thought about valve grinding compound
put a little dab on a case neck and turn the case by hand in the chamber

Well I'm going to go again the grain and suggest you hold the seller accountable for the problem.

I don't understand why this has become prevalent but many people seem to be fine letting manufacturers/retailers off the hook for selling bad merchandise and attempting repairs themselves.

You didn't get a discount for bad merchandise. Why are you ok with having to try to repair something new?

No one does that with a vehicle or a house, yet it's a firearm so it's expected?

Absurd.

I hate to have to send it back but your right
was able to get 1 round off
the rest would not chamber right
guess its phone call time

having second thoughts on purchasing a Ar10 platform from them

I'd hit that manufacturer up for shipping costs also. None of this is your fault. They screwed up.

Has it been looked at with a bore scope? If it is a chip that was pushed up and barely hanging a good stiff bore brush back and forth may work it off.

Seems strange to have a chip in the chamber, usually end up with grooves if the reamer is not pulled and cleaned often. Chips build up in the reamer flutes and can dig into chamber walls.

no bore scope available here
I used ''blue dye'' on an empty case to locate the problem
I have several 8mm/32 cal bore brushes to see if I can clear it
their not big, just enough to keep the rounds from going into battery smoothly

Still should have never shipped.

An actual gunsmith would know that you only feed in a chambering reamer about 0.05" to 0.06", then withdraw the reamer and clear the chips from both the chamber and the reamer before making the next cut. A shop monkey who "thinks" they know what their doing would just feed in the reamer until the flutes are crammed full of chips. One of the drawbacks of modern sporting rifles is that there are way more assemblers than there are gunsmiths. Your part was made defective. If you seek a replacement from this same supplier there is the possibility that all the parts in this batch might have been made by the same guy in the same way. If I were you I'd send the part back and ask for a refund. If you purchased the part with a credit card, and the supplier refuses to give you a refund on this defective part, call your credit card company and stop the payment. The only way that a manufacturer is going to stop making parts that are defective is if people stop buying them. Get your upper from somebody else.

they will go good for it and pay return shipping. they and probably none of the "ar kit and cheap complete" manufactures are going to hand inspect barrels. most of the buy then in bulk. ive built close to 20 guns from psa and have had to return 2 uppers because the chambers were to tight. probably cut with a reamer that was getting old and a bit wore. they went good for both and sent new replacements. they probably toss the old ones in the garbage. what do you expect when you building 400 dollar guns? hand lapped barrels? heck ive got guns from ruger that made me shake my head. obvious flaws that if anyone was really inspecting would even pass a causual look by someone with eyes. had some of there early bolt guns that wouldnt shoot 3 inch groups and one that the rifling had chatter marks the whole length of the barrel. saw a malin once that was bored but never chambered make itself to a gun shop. bear creak and other companys like psa amaze me. ive got standard 16 in ar15s ive built from there stuff for 400 bucks and even less that shoot moa or even better. for the price of a new model 70 or 700 or a marlin 336 today i can dam near build three of them. keep in mind in the 90's we were paying 600 bucks for a cheap bare bones dpms ar15. that price in todays money would be twice that. if you had to buy two uppers to get a good one and toss the other in the trash can youd still be money ahead. personaly i think its amazing they sell decent stuff so cheap.

Unfortunate for sure and we hope they will stand up to rectify the situation. If it goes bad with them the next step I would remove barrel assembly, strip bolt and confirm head space is good. The neck to shoulder juncture is the sharpest angle and one would think the first to show the harshest area of wear on reamer. Then a new or still nice clean in spec reamer might clean the whole mess up, yep, more time, more money, the more pain in the way.

finally got a reply yesterday
still working out the details

ya Lloyd the current mfg has quality issues

my wife purchased a Charter Arms ''Boxer'' 38 spl. new in the box

Red Neck Dan loaded up a ammo can of target loads for his Mom
200 rounds and the gun quit firing
they had to replace all the guts and the cylinder to get it to work again

WOW what a clown show with customer service
only thing that would make any sense is I am talking to a computer
got short responses to my messages like they were on a chart pre figured out

any ways' I worked out my frustrations on the chamber with a dewy cleaning rod
the 2 burrs came out on a double patches [shavings from the reamer]
they were stuck hard to the chamber but finally came loose
now the rounds will go into battery like they are suppose to

thank you for every buddy's in put

Doc.

Glad to hear of success and hopefully will extract clean also. Might want to marker black up first couple and see if she is digging in anywhere. Then maybe a quick spin at correct location of some Scotchbrite or #0000 wool to smooth it up.

I covered a round with ''blue dye'' and cycled it threw the chamber
came out clean , ,no marks on the case
then cycled live rounds and they went into battery with out having to help them
going to shoot it Thursday and see were we are at

I will be lapping the chamber and barrel as we break it in
shooting the lyman 30 cal 190 gr bore rider powder coated

As said, a little #0000 Steel wool and oil wrapped around a rod and run in the chamber might help polish things out a bit if needed
