I am going to buy a large quantity (for myself) of primers WINCHESTER WSPM SMALL PISTOL MAGNUM
unfortunately there are many people who put any primer in cci, Rem, etc. boxes and sell them as genuine, I don't know the seller, so if anyone has these winchesters and can take a picture to see the color of the metal and the compound...do me a favor, so they don't rip me off.
I understand that the color of the compound and the metal can change, but at least I can have a guide

You won't see the actual color of the compound....but you can see the paper/foil disc they place on the outside of the compound...

Many people? Where do you live that many people are buying off brand primers and reboxing them in bulk?

Winchester primers are plain brass, not nickel plated. The compound… someone else will have to help you.

Pass on WSPM. In May 2022 i started a new lot . Had pierced primers. Took a while & some testing to know for sure it was the WSPM problem. WSPM Lot PDL639G

WHAT! a lot of trouble to go thru to re-box primers. where did you hear this ? internet?

Pass on WSPM. In May 2022 i started a new lot . Had pierced primers. Took a while & some testing to know for sure it was the WSPM problem.

Did I miss where you identified the lot number of your problem primers? It would be nice to know for those that might have some on the shelf already.

I use lots of WSPM-- never had a problem. It would be interesting to know a lot number.

My WSPM primers have a sort of brass yellow look on the inside under the anvil

The cups and anvils on mine are all brass colored, and the primer compound is sort of a dark grayish almost black, about the color of most gun powders.

An FYI guys: nueces5 is in Argentina. In the USA we take for granted lots of things that are not as common in other places.

My stock of Winchester SP primers bought a few years ago (in black plastic trays of 100 inside blue cardboard sleeves which in turn are packed 10 sleeves to a blue box of 1000) show:

All brass colored (though I also have nickel plated WSPs from many years back).

Have a red foil under the brass colored anvil.

Have a more rounded edge in profile (varies, even in the same tray).
