I just picked up a nice, very early, Swiss Vetterli model 1878, 10.4 x 38, rifle converted to centerfire.
What do you use for cartridge boxes?
Brand?
Round count 20 or 50?
I have some:
MTM's for 45-70 etc. 50 ct. but they seem like overkill since the rounds are fairly short.
MTM 20 ga shotshell boxes 25 ct flip-top, that might work if I put a foam? filler in the lid then put the rounds in base 1st.
Something that can fit the big rim but still be fairly short would be nice.
