Now that LBT is out of business, what is considered the premier lube on the market?

I'm not saying it's the best by any means but White Label 50/50 has always treated me well. It's smoky and smelly though. I've always wondered how their blue compares to LBT.

This will be interesting.

I have not found anything better than Felix’s World Famous Lube for most applications, but that isn’t commercial. I do like the Carnauba Red in almost anything, and also like the Blue. I’m not good enough to tell much difference.

It doesn't answer Ballard's question but I use Felix lube everything.

Greetings,

When I spoke with LBT on the telephone a few months ago, the nice lady said that LBT Blue Commercial was still being produced. The LBT Soft has been temporarily discontinued.

The LBT Blue Commercial requires a heater.

Cheers,

Dave

I'm still using Bull Shop soft and hard lube for handguns. Bought a bunch when he was trying to get out of Alaska. Works great. For rifle I have Carnuba Red that I push to 2300 fps without leading in .308. I've loaded hundreds in .30-30 Lee 170 gr FP GC. I can't remember who makes it. I bought a bunch a decade ago.

I am still using Thompson’s Blue Angel that I have left over from when I quit commercial bullet casting in 1992.
I don’t know if they are still in business.

"Best commercial lube" Carnuba red 160. Harder than their regular but softer than their commercial 190 degree. Call Glen at white label and tell him what you need and he will guide you into the right product for your application.

I use White Label blue, and their service and shipping is great! They have several to choose from.

White Label Carnauba Red or Blue. Red flows best with a heater. Blue doesn’t need heat.

I made my first purchase from white label on ebay. I picked the yellow one. according to the spec sheet it’s good to 2300 fps and doesn’t need a heater. probably take a while to use what i have to test it out

LBT is still making Blue Commercial. I also use Bullshops Lotak for high speed rifle loads.

Have recently switched to White Label 2500+ for conventional lube grooves and their 45/45/10 for the tumble lube options

Don't know that 2500+ is the "answer for everything", but it is a high performance lube favored for high-velocity loads. If it'll run in a toasty .30-06, no reason it won't work in a pokey .44 Special.

I have been using WLL BAC, and I just cleaned my gun after about 200 rounds with light to medium loads. There was lube in the bore, but not even a speck of lead.
