As the title says, I am looking for a nice middle of the road load for a 45ACP load with a cast 235 RNFP boolit and using HP-38 for a powder.

Anyone have experience with this powder under this type of boolit?

HP38 and Win 231 are the same powder... range for 230gr in 45ACP run from 4.6 to 6.2gr... i have shot pounds of those powders in several 45's at 5.5 gr with my cast that weigh in at 235gr from my alloy... 45ACP is a great friend to cast and most powders will shoot the lights out... real handy in these times of uncertain supply and old favorites not showing up for sale often any more...

I shoot 5.0 gr of HP-38 at an OAL of 1.235" Accurate and reliable in my P320.

Hodgdon's load data for 230gr starts at 4.2gr for jacketed and 4.3 for cast. Both cast and jacketed max loads are 5.3 gr of HP 38/231
