For anyone needing CCI small rifle primers, Brownells has on sale for the sum of $79.99 per K. Not cheap, supposedly $10 off. I put 5k in cart, so maybe no restrictions to a single box....

I know we live in a different world, now, but when I started reloading in the early 70’s, primers were 70 cents/100. These prices today make me sick.

I remember purchasing any style Winchester for $95/5000 case in the 90’s and any style Remington for $150/5000 in the mid 2000’s. Times of changed.

Went by my local gun shop today and bought some 748 and CFE223 for $35/lb. He had small rifle primers for $67 for 1000. I have plenty of primers so I didn’t buy any although that’s the cheapest I’ve seen in awhile.

Well if we get in war with China, you won't find a primer anywhere. Buy what you can afford.

Maybe/Maybe Not. I am currently sorting "EXPENDED" primers (SP/SR/LP/LP) and after segregating (also between Brass or Plated Primer Cups) placing them into old plastic vitamin jars. I have Bottles of de-dimpled/resized Large Rifle Cups and Anvils on the shelf. As needed; I am "ReManufacturing" Large Rifle Primers with Prime-All, H-48, or FH-42 primer mixtures from chemicals I have bought over the last 2 years.

So; when the Communist Chinese hoards descend - I'll be able to get at least a couple of shots off.

You're a wise man.
