Found in the dirt of a dug up driveway. I was thinking some sort of antique radiator cap. At one time, there were mills and factories in the area.

It's approx 2" across

Looks like it could be a gas stove burner to me. That's just a guess.

Looks more like the body to an old hand drill or egg beater to me.

The gas stove burner idea is interesting. I've been thinking that it would sit vertically, but it you lay it flat, on it's side...hmmm.
I'll see if I can get more pics.

Reminds me of a sprinkler. The stub look like a hose or line attachment.

Could be a gas burner for a camping stove or a grill, note the hose barb. Inside would have threaded pipe fitting.
