Hello,

I now have an Arsenal 358242 that casts nice chubby .359 boolits. I also recently bought a pound of new production Red Dot powder. Does anyone have access to the Lyman 51st loading manual? I am wondering if the range for red dot powder (3.0-3.9 grains as listed in Lyman 49th) has changed over time for the 358242 (356242 as listed in the manual) boolit ?

Thanks,

Divil

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th edition lists two 356242s, 90 and 120 gr. Also in several different cartridges (380, 9x19, 38 spl…). What do you have?

Lyman 50th and cast 4th both show the charge weights you listed (3.0-3.9) for red dot with 120 gr at 1.065" OAL. Let us know how it shoots!

Thanks. I will give 3.7 grains and see what happens. Probably take a few weeks though, yard work is taking most of my time right now.

I load 3.4 grs or red dot behind 125 gr cast/coated bullets in 9x19. Shoots great in mine and low recoil. Wallacem in Ga
