A friend gave me a Savage Model 7 .22 rf semi-auto rifle. I always liked the action on the Savage and Stevens rifles but the tube magazines are the pits. This is a box magazine version. It takes the same magazine as the Remington 500 series. I had a Model 87 Stevens in the early 60's and enjoyed how it operated with box mags.
This rifle has to be pre-war. It has hand cut checkering on a nicely grained Walnut stock. It also says for greased ammunition only. It is also British Proofed. I wish these old rifles could talk. What stories we could hear.
The rifle shoots 2" at 50 yards with Aguila Centurion ammo. Not bad with open iron sights.
