Anyone here cast this bullet ? I’m thinking of buying a 6 cavity Lee mold for my 1911 and would like opinions on it from those who have shot it. If you have a handful I can purchase to try before I buy that would be helpful too . I have a new 1911 fitted with a threaded barrel for suppressed shooting.313845

I'm out I think, but it works dandy in multiple 45's .https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230508/c070a1eb3e32460dc7c2dad5e34dbb62.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230508/8ddf848f2b6e8556ff955f32fce32cb8.jpg

It's a great bullet. I've shot it in ACP & Colt.
Feeds well in an old 1911A1 I tried it in. And about any Lever Gun in .45Colt that I've tried.

No promises on how they'll navigate the suppressor, but they work darned well in every .45 from which I'VE fired them.

It's a great bullet for me. It casts nice and functions in everything. We've both lubed them and PC'd. Not sure if I have any left, I'll have to look tomorrow after a plumbing project (assuming I can remember).

Thanks for all the replies, it sounds like a good choice. I’ve thought about powder coating, never tried it though. All my cans are user serviceable so not necessary but may make cleaning a bit easier.

Have both lube and tumble designs, powdercoat both. They are a favorite thumper for pistols but keyhole in my hipoint carbine. Check into powder coating, you wont regret it. Cleaner than jacketed in all my guns.

I have a 2 cavity mold for that bullet. On a whim (kinda a Hmmm what would happen if...) I drilled out the bevel base and with my alloy bullets weigh about 235 gr, I have 3, 45 ACP guns and the Lee bullet feeds and fires 100%...

It is one of my favorites for the 45acp.

Thanks. I wonder if he is using a different supplier. I bought some JD Green from him in 2019 that had more of a "pea soup" color.

It could have been another green he had.

Try this: TL452-230-TC 6 Cavity Lube, PC, or tumble. Works

Another thumbs up for the Lee 230TC mold. Functions great and is very accurate in my 45's.

Those look great, I’ll probably have to spend some money on getting set up for powder coating too .
