I have the 175 grain Lyman 401638 mold, which I bought because the Lyman Cast handbook #4 has some screaming hot load data for one particular powder. I’m thinking about exchanging it for the 170 Saeco 043, as long as the bullets can be expected to perform similarly as far as powder charges, pressures, and velocities go. The reason I would let go of the Lyman mold is because the mold cavities are eccentric by several thou. I will try to fix this via a mold pin adjustment.

Has anybody tried the Saeco mold? How long is the bullet and what is your OAL? Has anybody tried both molds?
