Sorry I had to

I have a 24" AR15 Bull Barrel , target crown
Shoots great
But I would like to have a bit less barrel and have 1/2" x 28 threads added
As I plan on adding a Titanium device to the barrel

So real world
How much should I expect to pay
To have the barrel shortened to 20" and have threads added ?
Any suggestions as to where to have it done ?
As I saw Silencer Central dose it for $99.99 or $124.99 + $39.99 shipping
Depending if I remove the handguard and gas block or not

That would reduce a little weight
But the shorter length will let me us a smaller gun case

Why not just re-barrel or build an upper to meet your needs?

what he said. ar barrels are easy to swap and it never hurts to have an extra spare barrel, not to mention a new barrel like you want will probably be cheeper than the work to make the old one the way you want

I agree too. I currently have more uppers than I have lowers, and it's never been a problem for me switching any of them around depending on what the need is. If your 24" upper shoots great, I'd say keep it as is and just buy or build another upper.

I think NoBade on this site does that kind of thing

I would also just build another upper!!

The prices that you quoted are about right.
I would not do it for less.
The he point about buying another barrel configured the way you want it is good advice!
You could sell the old barrel and recoup some of the money you spent on the new barrel!
