Spent a few hours sorting nearly 2,000 cores and brass for jackets. Mostly winchester. Weight varied from 64-74 grains with majority falling between 66-69 grains. My concern has been to cast a lead core to uniform weight. It seems now that +or- a grain or 2 will be fine for the core. This allowing me to match core to jacket to give equal weight bullets. Sounds like a lot of work but I seperated brass by 1 grain and lead cores by the .5 grain. Went fairly quick with electronic scale. I figure I am able to keep total weights now to a max difference of 1.5 grains from bullet to bullet with most being alot closer. Imagine a 74 grain case with a heavy core next to a 64 grain case with a lite core without sorting them. Something to watch out for.

More latter,
