using Unique powder and a 100 grain flat nosed lead bullet including COL's do they?

Never found Unique to be the best powder for this cartridge with practice cast bullets. I worked up to 3.5 gr but velocity was erratic showing me the Unique was not burning efficiently in the short 2 3/4" barrel of my handgun. I use 2.5 gr of Bullseye under a Lee 105 gr SWC or the 106 gr Lee RN. OAL is determined by: the round must fit into the magazine, the round must reliably, the lube grooves must be covered, and the shoulder of the bullet does not engrave on the leade. Your OAL mileage will vary with your bullet and your handgun. Start at 2 gr of Bullseye and work up in .2 gr increment until you get reliable feed, function and accuracy. When your cases land about where they do with factory ammo is the "max" load.
