Hello all,
I found a pretty nice model 92 Winchester today with a wonderful bore. I don't have a mold for the 32-20. Has anyone tried the 311465 bullet in a 32-20 rifle? I'm thinking it should work. If you have what powder and charge did you use? and where did you get the data?
Thanks for any help,
Rick

My 92 is about 1928 and wants a .313 boolit. My 311-465 does not drop one that big

My Browning 53 likes it a bunch. 5.0 grains of Herco or 4.8 grains of Unique work just fine. Load it as long as you can get it to cycle. I'll bet 2400 would work very well, though I never tried it. I believe I got yhis load from from an old Lyman manual, but I can't be certain.

The twist of rifling in a .32-20 rifle is 1:20" and seldom gives acceptable accuracy with bullets heavier than 120 grains. Ideal #3118 or modern #311008 are traditional designs for the .32-20 which are well proven in both rifles and revolvers. NOE and Accurate both have clones.

I use a Lee 105gn in my 1908 vintage Winchester '92. Powder coated and loaded over 12gn of 4227 gives incredible accuracy from a 115 yo rifle.

And my Remington loves Herco behind a Winchester copy of the 3118. Unfortunately it's a single cavity.
