I was going to get rid of my 38 brass, since I never really used it, but I have been seeing all kinds of data for the RCBS 35-200-FN in the 357mag. So I figured I'd try the 35-200-FN in some 38 brass.

To say the least I'm impressed.

I was expecting groups around 10"+ so I didn't bother to get out the chrono. All of the groups are at 50yds...... and the boolits were unchecked!

After trying them in the marlin, I figured I would try them in the blackhawk. Open sights, off of sandbags also at 50yds.

The loads tried were 9.0gr, 9.5gr, and 10.0gr of 2400. The squares are 1"......

More testing is in order.

Although all loads grouped well, the loads below 10gr in the blackhawk left alot of unburned powder in the barrel, and brass.

Hey now! I like it! Guess I'm going to have to try some in my BH too.

I loaded up some 358430s in 357 brass.....now I need to try this too. Thanks for the idea.

I use the RCBS 200 fn in .38 cases in my Dan Wesson .357 For silhouette. I use 13 grains of AR2205 (H4227) @1150fps. 14 grains gave me 1230fps but not as accurate. I got less speed using mag cases don't know why. here's some pic's
