Anyone use this bullet in Marlin 44 mag tubular magazine- load recommendations for hogs and deer-using lyman #2- I realize Lee molds aren't real popular but have had great success using them

There are a lot of people who own LEE Molds and swear by them, you are not alone. For your carbine load, I have used that boolit and 18.5 grains of 2400. I have a Marlin Cowboy that likes that load. However, You may find that the SWC doesn't play nice--my buddies 1894 wouldn't work well except with RNFP boolits. He uses the LEE 429-200 RF for cowboy shooting. Nowadays, I use an MP 432-640 4 cavity, or a Lyman 429-421 for most of my 44 reloading, but I'd certainly give the LEE a spin if I got a new rifle, just to test it out.

I like Lee molds and I have many of them.
BUT...
You might find that particular Lee TL mold will not drop a large enough boolit for your Marlin.
a boolit sized to .432 is usually needed for Marlin's 44 mag rifles.

The Lee .430 240 TL is now my favorite bullet for my 44 Special Ruger NM Blackhawk and my Rossi R92 in 44 Magnum. For the Rossi my standard load is the Lee Bullet on top of 7 grains of Unique in a 44 Magnum case. Velocity around 1050 fps - very accurate and very pleasant to shoot.
