Now a question on the Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure

I got my Lee Classic turret Wednesday, set up the Lee 450 die set and manually charged the powder on my first loads.
Looking at purchasing the Lee Pro Auto Disk Powder Measure.
My question: should I get the double disc kit or buy two adjustable charge bars? And will I need to purchase the longer bolts separately if I can go this way?
I did see where someone mentioned they can be stacked but could not find other info on this.
It seems this would allow for more precise metering of powder.

Tho double disk kit should include everything needed, including the longer bolts.

I have used the adjustable charge bar and it worked fairly well except for very small charges of some powders.

I mainly use the AutoDrum now.

The double disks have taller side plates as well .
What cartridges are you planning on loading ?

It's minor, but note that the double disc set will not give you more fineness of measurement at the lowest weights. For instance you are trying to split the difference between one disc setting and another, one gives 4.0 grains of (x powder), one gives 4.4. The double disc set will not let you get 4.2. It does not give you more options at the low end. As you move on up, yeah.

The double disc set comes with the longer screws.

I don't have experience with the adjustable charge bar, but I can say that the Pro Auto Disk throws a very consistent charge weight. I've been really impressed.

The double disk is for loading rifle rounds. Pay attention to how you stack the disk. The instruction sheet tells you how to set them up.
I have used it on my Lee pro 1000, for .223.
Have not tried the adjustable charge bar on the lee.

I prefer the drum....but the disk measure works, for sure! They're also easily modded for a particular charge, if you don't have a chamber in the disk that does what you need. Drill a hole into the chamber, thread a tapered screw, and then you have an adjustable chamber in the disk. Just move the screw in and out to make minute adjustments. I did this when I went down the 380 reloading road....as .1 matters there.

The flake powder leaking issue is also easily solvable....plenty of threads already out there on that issue....

450 Bushmaster using 38 to 40 grains of Lil Gun is my concern for now. I know the smaller loads for the 9mm, 38 spl. etc can be dispensed with either the disc or one adjustable charge bar.

I’m not a big fan of the adjustable charge bar, I work up my loads using my regular powder drop and once dialed in I modify a disc to drop the same charge and then mark the cavity and keep it in a can along with the head and dies setup. A steel one pound coffee can can hold a case holder, turret head all set up, any discs pertinent to the caliber, and a nice sized desiccant pack to keep from rusting. I then list the discs and corresponding cavities for any loads on a sticker that I put on the outside of the can.

I know I am late to the party but I use the Lee discs exclusively on my blue reloader. I also purchased the return spring and wow- I like it much better.

So after more researching I went with the Lee Auto Drum instead. Got it Friday, set it up and ran 30 28 special loads on the Lee Classic Turret. I like it. Will post a picture of my bench and short writeup later.

Have 7 Lee Powder measures loading several different calibers on a Lee Load Master. The priming system on the Lee Load Master really is junk. Otherwise the press loads 45-70's with primed cases just fine. One Lee has a stacked discs for the larger powder charge on the 45-70's I used a small rubber band to help return the disc slides. The Lee Disc measure is a great reasonable priced tool. Even use one on an old Hornady Pro 7 progressive. They work great!
