Currently I'm in Iraq/Syria so not home with my reloading equipment. I've got a Ruger Single Six in .32 H&R enroute to local FFL and have a CZ50 that I already load for using a set of Lee .32 ACP dies. My question is can those dies be used for .32 S&W Long and H&R? I do know a different shell holder would be needed. Have a decent supply of .32 S&W Long brass and a Lee .314 90gr SWC mold.

If not, which set of Lee dies would be best the .32 S&W Long or .32 H&R?

Brass is either S&B or GECO that I picked up in Germany in 88'. Yes, been hoarding the brass since then as wanted a .32 H&R or now a .327 Fed.

They all use the same sizing die. I don't know about seating die but it should work.

They all should work because I use the dies I have to load all my 32 s and I just change the shell holders for 32acp from the rest of the 32 rim cases. As for seating you need to adjust it to make it work. I do that for all 5 of the 32s I load . 32 acp, 32 S&W, 32 S&W L and 32 HR mag and 327 Mag .

I have the Lee 32acp die set and it works okay for 32 Long and 327 Mag. The sizing die works good. The expander and seater work okay depending on the bullet. The expander doesn't open up the die deep enough for some bullets with longer bodies and you end up sizing them down when they get seated. A Lyman M style seater works much better. The Lee seating die also works just okay. Mine has a round nose profile and I've noticed that when seating RN bullets in .32 acp, they sometimes stick in the seating die. I haven't had the same issue with RN bullets in the 32 Long or 327. I think it may be that the RN bullets I was loading in 32acp were too large in diameter. I also made a flat nose seater that I use for SWC and WC bullets. That said, I recently found a set of RCBS dies (used/cheap) that I now use for 32 Long and 327. The Lee dies are now just for 32acp.

The only issue you will have, is if you wish to load 32 Colt. I tried to get creative and make it work, but you really do need the correct sizing die for that one.

Looks like I'll also save money as I won't need a new shell holder. Seems Lee #4 for the rimmed .32s is also the same #4 for .223 Remington which I have already. Just need to cast some boolits now. Do have a few Hornady .314 85 gr XTPs

Hello:
Humpty Dumpty is 100 percent correct you will need the die set for a 32 colt if loading it as the brass on a 32 S&W is .337 diameter and the 32Colt brass is .318 diameter.
32ACP is also .337 inch diameter for those wondering.
So the sizing die for a 32ACP is the same base dimensions of the 32&SW so could be used for each other vice versa.
For those of you wondering about 32 Colt Long nor Short brass read below :
You can use the 32S&W brass and resize it in a 32 colt die but it does leave some excess brass at the base that youll need to file off or put in a mini lathe and trim it off.
Works in a pinch when 32 colt long brass cant be found - I know because i have to do it for brass with a 32 colt long i have.

Anyone have a good .32 S&W, Long and H&R using SR7625 and Lee's 90 gr SWC? Pistol is a Ruger Single Six 4.6" H&R

I also use the Lee 32 ACP dies to load the ACPs. The dies come with a #7 Lee shell holder which is what's needed for the ACP cases. I use the Lee ACP dies to load 32 S&W but not 32 S&WL or H&R as I have Hornady dies for them and Dillon dies for the SDB.

Also, I've been pressure testing a lot of different 32 ACP factory ammunition for Outpost75. Included in that was some Geco, Sellor & Bellet and military European made 32 ACP. They were Berdan primed so you might want to carefully examine you stash of 32 ACP Geco cases. They will bend/break the decap pin in the dies.

If you intend on shooting .314" cast boolits you will likely need the throats honed for that as factory throats run in the .309" to .310"-ish range, no matter what you size them to when you load them, they will exit the front of the cylinder at throat diameter. One more thing to think about...

And....I use .32 pistol dies for some 30 cal neck sizing also!!! Besides any .32 Handgun round that comes along!!

Casted some Lee TL 314-90-SWC, Lee .32 ACP dies, Lee .223 Rem shell holder, Winchester Small Pistol, SR7625 and GECO S&W Long cases. One ragged hole at 10 yds.
