I posted a detailed review last night (3-23-23) of how I motorized a leather stitcher with pictures. I saw it get posted. Today it's gone, including all uploaded photos.

Strange.

Hello-- I researched this a bit and found that your post was deleted by a member of the Moderation Staff because it contained an e-bay link. Links to e-bay are a violation of the Forum Rules, as you can see plainly stated if you read them. Your post was otherwise a good one with informative photos. You can re-post if you leave out the e-bay link.

Liberty1776,
sounds interesting.
Consider posting it in Special Projects

Having been a Mod (then Admin) on another forum, editing members' posts usually fell into the category of "No good deed goes unpunished".
We found it was much easier on unpaid forum staff to simply delete.

We Mods do not edit posts except to remove curse words and even then we mostly just delete the post rather then bother with them.

Aren’t curse words automatically edited out and replaced with stars? No need to delete an entire post that way.

Not when someone circumvents the process and uses symbols, etc.

I know your pain...it's too bad the Hammers treat every infraction like a nail rather than contacting the OP about the problem and give him a chance to fix it.
There are not many here that go to such effort in a thread to post pictures & descriptions & do a nice write up...make the thread look like a magazine article.
It's like this all over the forums these days, that's sad.

I made that mistake. I'd seen what I thought were symbols elsewhere with verboten words, so typed them in not knowing any better. I should have read the TOS better. Post was deleted, lesson learned.
