Until today I had not heard of the Chevrolet Price Protection plan. Long and short of it is I ordered a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the baby Duramax diesel in October. There was a price increase in Nov. and I thought I was out of luck for the deference. It was delivered to the dealership a couple weeks ago. I paid cash for it at the new increased price less $3,500 under MSRP. Today I received a check for $1,168.00. I called the dealership and they informed me that when they close out the paperwork they double check delivered invoice price verse price when the vehicle was ordered. Had they not been honest I would have never known I overpaid $1,168.00.

This is just a heads up for others that are thinking about ordering a new vehicle but concerned about price increase between ordering and actual delivery.

Lincoln or at least the dealer I bought a car from honored the price of when we ordered the car vs the couple thousand dollar increase of when the car came in 8 months later.

I went to local dealer to get a spare key made. They wanted over $300 for the key and another $187 to reprogram it. I pointed out several times it was a plain flat key with no chip. They did not budge. I told them to pound salt, went down the road to a hardware store and had two made for $150. They both worked fine.
