Why do we do this twice a year? Nobody has a good answer.

The answer I was always told was that it was for electricity savings.
People turn more lights on in the evening when dark out than in the morning when dark out.

I searched the internet a little to refresh my memory (I will not use the "g" word, as I will no longer call Leftists "liberals" as they are not liberal, as I will not call government schools "public schools", and I will not call "trans" people by their imaginary gender), and found this below.

From History.com:
"The first real experiments with daylight saving time began during World War I. On April 30, 1916, Germany and Austria implemented a one-hour clock shift as a way of conserving electricity needed for the war effort. The United Kingdom and several other European nations adopted daylight saving shortly thereafter, and the United States followed suit in 1918. "

At 2 am this morning, my watch automatically reset itself to daylight savings time based on a 5mh radio signal from radio station WWV in Bolder Colorado.
It resets itself to the exact second every morning at 2am.

Why do we need to shift the TIME when no one is going to the Office or Working while at Home anyway?

Politicians don't care when daylight comes but can play golf an hour longer in the evening.

One of the more stupid things we are forced to do twice a year.

I live in Indiana where we used to never change our clocks, stayed on the same time year round. The politicians and governor now have us springing forward and falling back. Now we have eastern time and central time zones for parts of the state. Some counties changed to central and then went back to eastern. It was a cluster around 2007 and 2008.

I love the switch to daylight saving time.
I HATE the switch back. HATE HATE HATE it. We are taught to love our enemy. This is one I haven't figured out how to.
