Does anyone make them?
I know Lee makes a set, but its seater also does a roll crimp, so it does not include a collet die.

I THINK LEE will make you one if you ask, they advertise custom work. I understand why you want the collet. Most people will go with the roll since the ctg. has a shoulder. But I much prefer Taper and Collet crimping. Even on my revolver loads I've been a taper-fiend for yers and frankly I have found them to be much easier on the bullets and more consistent in release. Now that is an assumption because since I gave up roll crimping more than 20 years ago I have found it much easier to find accurate loads, they just all seem to shoot so much better for me in all my guns.

I don't claim to be the ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANICA I'm just reporting my personal experience, so YMMV!

Are you having problems with the bullets moving around? I use mostly Remington 405grn SP's and use no crimp without any issues.

You might look here for more info. http://458socomforums.com/ you will have to sign up but it's be best place for 458 socom info

This is just for a project, I don't even do 458. The geometry of this calibre suits my needs, which are to crimp obsolete straight wall rimmed revolver calibres in 44-45 range.

Can you fine one for a 45-70 that you could cut to the length you need?

The rim won't fit.
