Bottom feeder cheap, but IMHO oh so good, eats standard velocity .22LR rounds and accepts Mossberg 702 Plinkster 25 round mags.
I had to have a his 'n' hers pair 8-)

I have one as well as the Marlin 995 from which it was copied. Much as I love my Marlins I think the Rossi is actually a better design. My RS22 eats anything I put in it and is accurate as any other autoloader I've tried including my 10/22.

Interesting enough you can pick one up for $99 but they go at auction for $150 plus 13% buyers fee.

I have had great performance from my Rossi RS22 as well. Very surprised for the cost of the firearm.

They are $150 at Academy and come with big modern ugly sights. I kind of want one for a tractor gun. Paint the parts that can rust and don’t worry too much about it.
My Nylon 66’s have appreciated themselves out of a job.
Almost.

Got mine for $111.51 @ Dahlonega Armory + 20 shipping.
I bobbed one to a 16.25" bbl.

Has anyone shot groups with one? Interested in repeatable accuracy. Seen some terrible reviews like one guy who bragged about accuracy....his definition being 2" at 40 yards...LOL
If you go out and shoot five 5 shot groups, what can you rely on?

With the *right* ammo I can get 1 hole groups at .... 5 yards.
IMO, the RS22 and its ilk are plinkers for plate shooting, not group shooting ... that's where my bolt guns (CZ457 and Savage MKII) are best used.

Rifles such as the RS22 are for close range pests(birds, mice, rats. etc.) and just plain having fun on targets of choice. They are cheap enough that almost anyhone can afford them and I for one, tip my hat to the people who make them. You want a target rifle, go buy a CZ, Anschutz or get an action and have a custom rifle built. I wouldn't mind having one and may just see if I can find one for me and my wife to play with in the back yard. my .02 anyway, james

I have to admit those big ugly sights work quite well and the adjustments are super easy. Rossi actually put some thought into them.
