Over on the 1911 addicts forum is a posting for a blue Ruger Bisley Single Seven. It even has a Two Dog front sight. It looks mint. Asking price is very reasonable when compared Gun Broker, etc. I quickly spent my gun allowance for the month otherwise . . . . . .

Nah, that Single Seven is too petite for me! :D I'll stick to my Blackhawk 8-shooter. Besides, my gun allowance has been stretched pretty thin too! :groner:

Great cartridge! I think you should spend next months gun allowance this month and don’t buy anything next month. Lol

Sounds like a NICE gun...

I've been trying to find the limited edition blue 4 5/8" with the standard XR3-RED aluminum gripframe, black stocks and XS sights...the ones that have been on GunBroker have been sold for over a grand...

I just spent my gun money for the near future, so I am safe, I guess. I have a 4 5/8" Talo, the regular, X-R3-RED, aluminum frame with the useless XS sights that I recently replaced with fire sights, but a Bisley? THAT calls to me.

Hey rintinglen, have you gotten to try out that custom heavy barrel “K-32” yet? Over on the S&W Forum a member there had discovered a similar B.O.B. (“Big Ole Barrel) somewhere and had Andy Horvath build it for him. Makes me dream about my old days shooting PPC at the indoor range over in Roanoke. Fun times, but maybe “fun-er” if I could have shot them with a heavy barreled K-32 PPC Gun!

Interested but can't find the listing. What was the asking price?

@ Greenfrog. Maybe Wednesday, If all goes well, but I have been caught up with household doings the last few days, so I haven't had a chance yet to try it out. Of course, the one day I could have gone, it rained all day.

That's over MSRP for brand new ones.

You will not have much luck finding a new one for sale. I thought a 6" barrel would be nice to have in that chambering.

Why? I was just looking at one in a gun shop about a month and a half ago. It was about $750. I think it had a 5.5" barrel, don't recall if it was a bisley or not. As far as I can tell, there are tons of single seven models still made. It seems to be the second most common 327 federal, the LCR being the most common.

...you must be lucky...none in any of the shops I go to in New England...

On GunBroker there are six...two New Old Stock and the rest used...

They have not been made in over two years...
