Been a few years since I've post anything, but I wanted to get active again. I picked up this 1978 Marlin 336 and I want to reload ammo, but I'm having an impossible time finding brass. any help locating some would be greatly appreciated.

I have one from 1989. That rifle is a real pleasure to shoot and hunt with.
I shoot the RCBS 200 grain in it

I rolled off the line the same year but I don't look as good! I think I have some to spare, will check tonight.

It can be made from 308 Win, but it is not a simple conversion. I made several that worked fine, but found some 35 Rem in stock and bought a lifetime supply.

Might wanna try Blue Collar Reloading and Tall Tales Outdoors. I've ordered from both and they are good to go.

.

I'm curious, Greg - why do you think Coastal Firearms shop is a scam ?

This is a scam site. https://coastalfirearmshop.com/product/hornady-brass-35-remington-box-of-50/

I found it earlier and used another link to get on the Costal site. They show no .35 Remington brass. This link is someone bootlegging of of Costal Firearms. They do not accept credit cards . It is a scam pure and simple, the two sites look very similar but not the same. We need a scam site sticky .

Ky Greg,
I've had pretty good luck with Gunbroker, go to "Ammunition Reloading" and do a search. Half a dozen hits for 35 Rem brass, a variety of offerings.
Enough to get you started at least.
Cheers!

You may want to post. wTB here in the classifieds. If I remember correctly, there have been a couple of folks asking for 35 REM brass and others spoke up they had some to spare.

One good thing is that .35 Remington has a reputation for being easy on brass.

I think one thing that amazes me more than anything on these rifles is not that long ago you could pick one in really nice condition for 3-400 dollars. At a gunshow yesterday there was one in not quite as nice condition with a rough Weaver scope and rings and they had a price of 1295.00 on it.
Really?!?

Pay attention to Post #17. If Bruce says he did it then he did it as he described.

We lost a great source of 35 Rem. when we lost Grumpa. I bought 100 from him to try out. Wished I had bought 500.

Had a chance to purchase a 336 35 cal a couple years ago. A dandy clean hardly used lever gun. At the time. I highly doubt that rifle seen a days use in the woods. __ I passed on it. 695.00 Na!! Besides I do have a sweet Model 36 S/C in 30 cal to swoon over. Those who own a 35 Rem. There you go.

the last time I got some new 35 rem brass along with new 25-20 was from duck creek sporting goods, real nice guy, give him a call, he has a pretty good handle on how and where to get not so easy to find brass.
just like anything else related to reloading, when you find it available at a fair price, stock up so your gun is good for more than an expensive door stop.

I picked up a 1975 model 336 last week. There was a member here that made brass from .308 brass that i picked up a few years ago before i had a .35 rem
