Does anyone have experience with both these dies? Which dies are better/easier to use/more efficient?

If you have experience with one type or another, what are the strengths/weaknesses of the design?

I'm using new Blackmon dies in a used Corbin press, so I have a foot in both "worlds"!
Both are very high quality. FWIW, I prefer Blackmon's punch holders over the Corbin. Blackmon's are less $$, but I don't think he makes 'em for a reloading press anymore(except for derimmer), although he sells his own press and a neat conversion for a RockChucker. I plan on ordering .30 dies this year, they'll be from Blackmon.
Email Larry at lcblackmon@colla.com and ask for a flyer with his current prices. A 3 die set and a conversion for RockChucker was $465 last year - if you already have a RC, that would be a good way to start.

I also have a set of Bullet Swaging Supply (L. Blackmon) dies for 22 cal. Mine are used in his bullet swaging press (I believe they fit the old Corbin press as well with a small modification). Dr Blackmon is a pleasure to deal with. What I got from him is high quality. I know when I was researching swaging dies about 3 years ago or so, I ran across some comments in one of the Benchrest forums (6mmBR?); some guy was asking about BSS and Corbin dies and the answers were unanimous for BSS.

Toobroke got it RIGHT!!!! Blackmon dies are head and sholders above Corbin, and at better prices most of the time. I don't own either makers dies. My 6 sets were made by Sherman, Neimi and Dietch, 2 sets made by each maker, and all are Carbide dies. I use modified Rockchucker presses. I don't think you can beat them with anything available, regardless of price, in fact, every Benchrest bullet supplier I know uses Rockchucker presses!

Tried to email him and the email bounced. Can you confirm the email address or provide another contact point? I want to buy the 22rimfire to 224 set, as well as other calibres. Thanks

Try to call him at (318) 387-7257. I know he told me he doesn't like to correspond over email...he's a wealth of knowledge over the phone.

Do you still have that pres for sale? If so, what were you asking for it?

I have a Blackmon 224 die set, and with J4 jackets I do manage to get 1/4 inches groups at 100yrds with Borden custon rifle.

A 243 and 308 set on the way....
