The link leads to an open domain.

I tried accessing that site yesterday and no bueno. I really like that site, and it has provided lots of useful information. This couldn't possibly be linked to some gangland shooting because they have those there every day. Perhaps this means that California has actually finally slid off into the ocean, (hopefully leaving the Los Angeles Shooting Club intact), but we can only be hopeful in that regard.

I would be a shame to lose all that information. Hopefully is comes back up.

I just googled "From Ingot to Target" and tried 4 of the links, I was not able to open to the article...

And another excellent reference site might be gone forever. Through the years many really good sites with great information have come and gone for whatever reason. Long ago when I found information I thought was significant I printed it off. Yes, I have lots of notebooks I sometimes have to wade through but I still have the information. Never trust any electronic device to keep it for you, at some point it will fail.

It isn't unusual for a domain to expire. Happens all of the time, easy to forget to pay the bill. Which costs very little. My guess is that it will be back. Heck, some years ago (4 - 5?) microsofts email server domain expired... Some guy with a credit card renewed it and got them back on line.

As for good info like this, save it to your PC!

Hard drive space is cheap. Save good articles, reload pages, anything that you think will be of help down the road. ALT-F, Save Page As...

With all the great info / articles on that site and realizing it might no longer be active one day (California isn't kind to shooters any more) ... I started "saving" anything and everything I wanted to read . I print the articles on paper and bind them in cheap 3 hole school binders ... put together my own "booklets" Title what's in each and save them .
I know , in theory , anything on the net stays forever ... but this old dog doesn't know how to find stuff in the cloud .
If there are any articles on that site you may want to keep ... print or store them where you can find them now ... if the site just disappears one day .
A couple packs computer paper and a pkg of the little binders is cheap insurance .

I have it, but I'm not sure if it would be legal to upload it to this site.

Here's a way to get some info of the missing sight. Using the Internet "Way Back" machine I accessed the last version of the website that was saved. Here is the link - https://web.archive.org/web/20221227075251/http://www.lasc.us/

Hope that helps,

Thanks Ron ! :drinks:

This helps me ... I'm going to finish printing any article onto paper and get more school binders ... Once the info is gone ... it's gone forever .
I best do it now !
Thanks,
Gary

I actually just opened another thread on this subject since I couldn't find this one. The Wayback machine is the only way you are going to find that old info and if you want to save it as a file on your computer you need a program like Fireshot where you can screenshot the entire page and save it to a file on your computer. That is what I have done. And what I will be doing with all of those old links. You will need Fireshot Pro if you want to do the job right so it will cost you some money but to me it was worth it to save info that will never be seen again.

That is good news. As I mentioned, folks do forget, get busy, and don't always renew their domain names in time. It actually happens quite often.

So be sure to save any pertinent pages to your PC (ALT+F, Save Page As...). As sometimes they do go away (unfortunately).
