You are not alone on that.

I have know idea, but that’s probably due to the fact that I have no idea what a WML is! I’m pretty sure I’m probably not the only one.

With this many responses you would think the OP might enlighten us but, then again he may figure if we don't know what a WML is we probably won't be any help.

I had a feeling that was the right answer. But still, enuff with the acronyms already, this place isn't mall ninja central. The answers were golden. You folks crack me up.

Now that that’s settled, the particular pistol and light combination would have a lot to do with what holster is preferred.

I'm not accepting weapon mounted light until the OP verifies it.

Same I don't use lights or lasers on a carry gun. I do like Alein Gear Holster. I've been wearing one everyday for years.

Safariland makes some solid holsters for weapon mounted lights. I am super happy with the ALS style retention system. Super rugged and effective field rig. Hard to beat in that category.

CZ P-10 S with a Baldor S mounted underneath.

WML = Weapon Mounted Light, which in my opinion is a MUST for your EDC :)

I am very much opposed to weapon mounted lights on pistols because in use the gun points everywhere and at everything the light does. Now if you are SEAL Team 6 or the HRT then maybe that's a good thing, but otherwise, you are pointing a firearm at a lot of things you don't want to destroy and violating the first rule of Firearms safety. If you have a shaky shooting with said pistol/light, a prosecutor can belabor that point and your defense attorney will have his or her work cut out for them. You better be able to point to a stack of training certificates showing that some responsible agency trained you in the use of "WML." Unless, of course, you look good in orange.

I daily a G17 with a light, the holster I chose is a Kydex MK-TEK

I was real disappointed the first time I Holstered my gun without the light, seems that the light is where all the retention is based just flopped in there without it. But I can put that light on a smaller gun and it fits in the holster well.

And I feel if anything the light would help your case in self defense as you would be able to say with the light you were able to clearly identify the threat. I would much rather have a light than be shooting at shadows in the dark.

You hold the flashlight in your off hand and the pistol in your strong hand pointed in a safe direction. The point being they are separate so you aren't covering everything you see.
